4 Days Orientation Program of B.Tech (CSE, ECE, EEE, MAE & Civil), BCA and BHMCT Session 2020-2021
The orientation program for the new academic session of 2020-2021 was organized from 10 Aug 2020 to 14 Aug 2020. Four days long orientation program was started online at the Delhi Technical Campus for B. Tech, BCA and BHMCT Students. The objective of this online orientation program was to introduce the current semester to the student and to make them understand the process of online classes, tutorial and assessment.
Day 1 (10 Aug 2020)
The program was inaugurated with the light music of ‘Saraswati Vandna’. The dignitaries present on the occasion were Mr. Vipin Sahni (Chairman- Delhi Technical Campus), Mrs. Kiran Sahni (Chairperson- Delhi Technical Campus), Dr. Ashok Puri (Managing Director, Lean Horizons Consulting), Prof. (Dr.) Ranjit Varma (Director), and Prof. (Dr.) Pranay Tanwar (Dean Academics). They motivated and inspired the students on the various aspects of successful professional and personal life.
One special session was delivered by the guest speakers – Dr. Ashok Puri. He explained the Essence of Excellence in Educational Institutions. He discussed that determination is an element of Excellence and current education policies and plans in perspective of COVID-19. The response received from the students was extremely encouraging.
Day 2 (11 Aug 2020)
Day 2 was dedicated to all respective departments. Each Head of Departments had addressed to their respective students. Eminent Speakers from various departments were interacted with the students. Following table summarized the departmental technical session.

Day 3 (13 Aug 2020)
Prof. (Dr.) Pranay Tanwar (Dean Academics) addressed the students and provided the students comprehensive information about the academic and EQAC resources. This session was really important for the students to understand the registration process, video lecture delivery, live tutorial class conduction and online assessment process.
The next session was started by Ms. Meenakshi Tickoo on Personality Development through Stress Management. She explained that the solution to all problems lies within and every human being holds infinite potential waiting to be tapped.
At last, a brief session was taken by Mrs. Kiran Sahni (Chairperson Delhi Technical Campus). She discussed the role of meditation in student life, particularly in context of COVID-19.
Day 4 (13 Aug 2020)
There were two sessions in Day 4. The first session was common to all streams and begins with the blessings of Justice (Mr.) Bhanwar Singh (Director General-Delhi Technical Campus). He discussed “how to be happy”, and motivate the students to get good marks and achieve their goal. Our guest speaker, Mr. Sunil Kumar Tiwari, Co-founder-Growing Entrepreneur at KnowledgeFruit Pvt. Ltd. delivered the important concept of Life’s Balance Sheet.
The second session was devoted to departmental activities. CSE, BCA, ECE and EEE departments organized technical session of Microsoft and SAP. Mr. Parth Shukla, Co-Founder and Subject Matter Expert at 9LedgePro – Microsoft Partner Network, guided our students about the programming skill and Microsoft technology. After that, Mr. Ashwani Kumar, Vice president of Mindtree in Bangalore, discussed about modules and application of SAP.
MAE and CIVIL Department organized two events for. INDIAN BINGO GAME, where each player must have at least one ticket to enter a game. Tambola was played with Numbers (1-90) being called out one at a time and players striking out those Numbers on their Tickets. The second event was the RAPID FIRE ROUND. In this round, students were given 10 questions for answer based on basics of previous semester subjects.
School of Hotel management conducted its Orientation cum students Interaction (Speech). Students and faculty attended the session with great enthusiasm. Students presented their Speeches on: 1. Introduction to College life and 2. Life in Hotel Management Course. Students voluntarily participated and shared their experience of one year they spent in Delhi Technical Campus & School of Hotel Management.
