COMMUNITY CONNECT: CLOTH DONATION DRIVE IN ASSOCIATION WITH GOONJ NGO

COMMUNITY CONNECT: CLOTH DONATION DRIVE IN ASSOCIATION WITH GOONJ NGO

The Community Connect Project is a continuous program of Delhi Technical Campus. Through this project, the Institute, complete with its staff and students, embraces the responsibility towards the community and environment (both ecological and social) in which it operates. It endeavours to make a positive contribution to the society.  To inculcate values in students and to continue positive efforts in this direction, Cloth Donation Drive were organised on 22nd Nov 2018, in association with Goonj NGO. Students and staff have actively participated in Cloth Donation Drive. All winter clothes were donated via drop boxes put at each block of institute.

All boxes were sent to Delhi Public World School, sister concern of DTC. Volunteers from NGO Goonj visited school and collected cloths. The collected material would be used by Goonj to trigger large scale work on water, sanitation, infrastructure, agriculture, education and rehabilitation with rural communities in villages of India.

Over all it was really a poignant experience for all the students.
