It is a proud moment to share that our student ‘Himanshi Sharma’, Batch 2016-21 is the University Topper in GGSIPU in Architecture course.
Also another student ‘Anisha Khandelwal’, Batch 2016-21 bagged 4th position in GGSIPU.
This is the second time our student topped the University.

Blood Donation & Free Thalassemia Check up Camp
The Community Connect Project is a continuous program of Delhi Technical Campus. Through the project, the Institute, complete with its staff and students, embraces the responsibility towards the community and environment (both ecological and social) in which it operates. It endeavors to make a positive contribution to the society. A wide range of activities are covered in the project such as conducting blood donation drives, providing assistance during disaster, encouraging staff and students to volunteer, supporting worthy social causes etc.
To continue positive efforts in this direction, this year also our Institute had organized a Blood Donation and Free Thalassemia Check up camp on 3rd Oct 2017.
It was the organized by INNER WHEEL DELHI IPEX.
The camp was organized to help the noble cause of Blood Donation. The Staff and Students were notified in advance and names of the interested donors were taken by the Event – Co-ordinators. The camp started at 10:00 a.m in the morning. Our Honorable Chairman Mr. Vipin Sahni served as a source of great encouragement by being the first donor. He also addressed the students about the importance and benefits of blood donation. The charges for Thalassemia check of all the female blood donors was borne by Honorable Management. The faculty members also participated actively in this noble cause. A team of Doctors checked the blood group and Hemoglobin of each and every Donor. All those who donated blood were awarded Certificates and Memento along with the refreshments. The Team of Doctors thanked our Faculty Members and Students for their co-operation and congratulated DTC Family for donating 134 units of blood and making this drive a great success.

Expert Lecture: Green Buildings and Sustainable Urban Matrix
An expert lecture was conducted by the Department of Civil Engineering on the topic “Green Buildings and Sustainable Urban Matrix”. The resource person for the event was Prof. A. K. Jain, Ex Commissioner (Planning), DDA, New Delhi, on September 28, 2017 in Seminar hall at 10:30 am. He is one of the most eminent personalities in the field of Civil Engineering who has established himself as a successful author and researcher. From many years, his books have been referred for teaching. Contacting such an esteemed personality and gracing his presence in Delhi Technical Campus was a tough job which was executed successfully by Ms. Yogita Kushwaha.
Since the topic of the lecture is relevant to B.Arch students as well, students of 3rd and 4th year were accompanied by Ar. Tanya Gupta and other faculty members other than Civil Engineering department. The event started with a bouquet ceremony followed by a welcome speech by Mr. Ankit Sahay, Assistant Professor, addressing the achievements of Prof. A K Jain. With a huge round of applause, he took over the stage and showered the students with his knowledge. To counter the effects of global climate change, this concept is a recent trend. Students were introduced to many interesting concepts related to Green Building. The session was followed with a brainstorming session and concluded by a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Kailash Narayan, HOD (Department of Civil Engineering).
Expert Lecture: Offshore Oil and Gas Platforms (Fixed and floating)-A High-End Complex and Critical Civil & Structural Engineering
With overwhelming response of the previous lecture, an Expert Lecture was conducted by Civil Engineering Department on “Offshore Oil and Gas Platforms (Fixed and floating)-A High-End Complex and Critical Civil & Structural Engineering” on 14th September 2017 in ‘Da Vinci Auditorium’ at 10:00 am by Mr Ashwini Kumar, Director of Apo & Barrier Engineering Company, New Delhi.
The event started with the welcome ceremony of Chief Guest Mr. Ashwini Kumar by Prof. Kailash Narayan, HOD, Civil Engineering Department. Chief Guest Mr. Ashwini Kumar shared his technical views on the topic and his vast experience with the students and faculty members during the session. Certain duration of time was allotted for the students for their queries to be answered. The students participated with full enthusiasm. The entire session was very interactive and fruitful. The session concluded with the Vote of thanks by Prof. Kailash Narayan, Head of Department, Civil Engineering.

Expert Lecture: Hypothesis Testing
An expert lecture was conducted by the Civil Engineering Department on the topic “Hypothesis Testing” delivered by Prof. Alka Tripathi, Department of Mathematics, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida on September 6, 2017 in Seminar hall at 10:00 am.
The event started with the a bouquet ceremony followed by a welcome speech by a student Aditya Manavraj and Anjali Nair , addressing the achievements of the honorable guest Prof. Alka tripathi. With a huge round of applause, she then took over the stage and showered students with a share of her vast knowledge and experiences during the session. Following the session, an interactive queries section was held and a lot of new ideas were discussed. The session concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Kailash Narayan, Head of Department and a feeling of intellect all around.
Saying Goodbye: Farewell of Prof. (Dr.) Jitender Kumar Pathak
On 31st August, 2017, Delhi Technical Campus organized the adieu of Prof. (Dr.) Jitender Kumar Pathak (Dean (Admininistration) & HoD(ECE)). The dignitaries, Chief Adivisor Dr. Rakesh Sharma, Director Dr. U.K Chaudhary, Dean (Acadamics) Dr. Pranay Tanwar and faculty members from all departments of Delhi Technical Campus were present to give their best wishes to Prof. Pathak. Mr. Ankaj Gupta (Asst. Professor, ECE) in his speech talked about Prof. Pathak, as a very approachable and a guiding pillar for all faculty members of Delhi Technical Campus. Dr. Pathak is a well read person who always worked towards excellence in education. Furthermore, Dr. Rakesh Sharma praised his efforts and tremendous contribution towards DTC’s growth and also gave best wishes to Prof. Pathak. Prof. Pathak too shared his sweets memories and wonderful experience of last two years with the gathering. He thanked all the faculty members for making the day memorable for him.
The celebration was concluded by cup of tea.
Seminar on “Multiple Opportunities after B.Tech”

Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering department organized a one day seminar on “Multiple Opportunities after B.Tech” on 30th August, 2017. The resource person for the event was Mr. SM Garg. He is a research scholar in DTU Delhi and about to complete PhD. He is an author of Person Publication-on Heat and Mass Transfer. He has a wide range of experience in guiding and mentoring B Tech students for GATE, PSU and Engineering Services.
The seminar was conducted by Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), DTC chapter. MAE students Vivek Kumar Nigam, Gokul Krishnan, Manjot Kochhar, Shubham Rana, Nikhil Kumar, Amit Kumar, Shivam Bhat, Shivam Sachdeva, Rajat Kumar Negi, Manish Kumar Rai, Hrithik Misra, Mudita Gupta and a few others were a part of the organizing team.
The theme was very noble and was the need of current time. Preparation and planning for PSU and GATE after BTech was discussed and presented. The importance of core BTech subjects in preparation for such competitive exams were also discussed extensively. More than 130 students were present and participated in the seminar. The seminar ended with a vote of thanks by Gokul Krishnan, a student of MAE 3rd year.

The importance of trees in purifying the air, as natural resources, maintaining the ecological balance is well known.
For awareness the tree plantation drive was conducted by School of Architecture on 17th August, 2017. Students showed great enthusiasm in planting the saplings of specie Tulsi. Ar.Chandrakala Kesarwani was the coordinator for the event.
