VITA DAY- 2020 on Software Defined Storage Concepts By the Department of Computer Science and Engineering
The VMware IT Academy is a global network of approved educational institutions and non-profits providing students access to VMware content and technologies to develop industry knowledge and skills. VMware IT Academy has arranged for students that complete this course to receive a digital badge upon completion.
The workshop was organized for CSE and ECE students to create a platform for students to learn VMware’s role in the software-defined storage industry and how knowledge of SDS can lead to great career opportunities. It also helped students to learn key concepts related to storage in the data center. It also facilitated students to compare the functionalities and performance of vSAN with other traditional storage options and exposed to basic information about the Hyper-Converged Infrastructure.
