The Department of Computer Science & Technology is one of the most exciting and dynamic areas of study in modern academia. They have expertise in various areas like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security, and many more. Faculty members are committed to sharing their knowledge and expertise with students by guiding them on their projects, helping them to develop their ideas, refine their methodologies, and achieve their goals.
In addition to its excellent faculty members, the Computer Science & Technology department also boasts excellent labs which are equipped with latest computers and internet facilities. These state-of-the-art facilities provide students with hands-on experience in a variety of areas in the computational domain. Whether working on individual projects or collaborating with their peers, students in this department have access to the latest tools and resources they need to pursue their passions and make meaningful contributions to the field.

Greetings to all,
It is an honour to extend a warm welcome to Our Department of Computer Science and Engineering. I am proud to lead a team of highly skilled and committed faculty members who strive to provide exceptional education and advanced research opportunities in this field.
Our department offers an array of undergraduate courses that cater to the diverse needs and aspirations of our students. Proficient in their respective areas, the faculty members strive to deliver a comprehensive education that blends theoretical knowledge with practical skills. We encourage and support students to be industry ready and strive for higher education by making them to participate or organize in various activities ranging from coding competitions, hackathons, industry collaborations, internships, projects etc. and make them readily employable.
We are also dedicated on cutting-edge areas of computer science namely artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, cybersecurity, and computer networks. The faculty is actively engaged in research and innovations. Students are motivated for the same and necessary guidance and resources are provided to conduct independent research.
Our department promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion and we strive to build a socially adaptable and ethically oriented workforce.

Programme Outcomes (POs)
Computer Science Engineering graduates will be able to:
- Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- Problem analysis: Identity, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using the first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
- Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
- Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
- Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
- The engineer and society: Apply reason informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
- Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
- Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.
- Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.

Events Conducted
Computer Engineering Student’s Technical Association (CESTA) functions under the Computer Science and Engineering Department.It was started in 2017. This society is run by students under the guidance of faculty and technical society heads.It organizes events such as seminars, workshops and lectures related to computer science.
Google Developer Student Club (GDSC) is a university-based community group for students interested in Google developer technologies. Students interested in growing as developers are welcome to join this group. By joining a GDSC, students grow their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and communities. A faculty coordinator and a student coordinator are the club’s core members. The Developer Students Club organizes seminars, workshops, boot camps, lectures, and informational sessions on various technical stacks. Speakers from various companies are invited to offer their professional experience and hands-on technical knowledge.

Certification Courses
Self-learning or value-added courses are delivered to improve student’s learning and achievement and build their learning capacity. They are delivered to empower them to become independent learners and to motivate them to achieve their full potential. Value-added courses increase the chances of getting a job and a lucrative career. Along with improving professional skills and knowledge, confidence gets boosted, and it is reflected in the personality of our students. The life spent in college should be utilized for securing a promised career. The technology-driven education model is expected to revolutionize the landscape of learning and development in India and the global landscape, with pioneering outcomes on knowledge creation and transfer. The effective integration of technology, innovation, and value-based curriculum increases the students’ engagement along with the academic learning environment, encouraging critical thinking skills and problem-solving amongst the student community. Collaborative endeavours in conjunction with industry to design value-based curricula with the focus on bringing the results of cutting-edge research, innovative practicing skills, and knowledge in contemporary pedagogy and academic delivery progression. The process would encourage and involve learners in their educational journey and make them ready to face the challenges of the dynamic business environment.
At Delhi Technical Campus, particular emphasis is taken to deliver innovative value-added courses to enhance and update the students’ knowledge bank and improvethe faculty pedagogy style. Integration with multiple industry experts is done to enhance their placement opportunities along with getting them knowledge. Faculties are assigned at every process stage to assist and motivate the students. A local chapter of NPTEL is also built to ease the learning process. The faculty also plays a vital role in motivating the students to attend courses from Coursera and Udemy.

Industrial Visit to Network Bulls – Gurugram ( 16th June 2023)
On 16th June, 2023, Department of Computer Science & Engineering organized an Industrial visit to Network Bulls – Gurugram for CSE II year students.
Network Bulls is a premier institute for networking training in India. It offers advance trainings in associates, Professional and Expert level in Enterprises/ R&S, Security and Data centre and Collaboration track certifications which are offered by Cisco Systems
Students assembled at the institute at 9:00 AM in front of the main gate and then all got to the bus to reach the destination on time. After reaching out, Students were given a brief introduction about networking as a field and the various aspects like demand, requirements, and certification of the field. Then, a theory lecture was given about IP Addresses, Network layers, Network Security, and various other topics. The theory session was completed around 12:30 PM. Then all the students commenced to the Labs for the practical understanding of networking. They were introduced to the different network devices such as router, switched and various network related commands and their implementation in the industry.
Overall, It was a great experience to know about different field in IT and learned various aspects and functioning of IT Industry
Industrial Visit to Network Bulls – Gurugram ( 14th June 2023)
On June 14th, 2023, Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized an Industrial visit to Network Bulls, Gurugram for 3rd year CSE students.
It is firmly believe that the knowledge of Networks is extremely crucial for understanding the concepts of Computer Science. Thus, the visit was arranged with the intention of providing our pupils with in-depth insights into the working of Network Devices and Data Centres.
The visit to Network Bulls enabled the students to attain hands-on experience and exposure to the world of networking. All in all, the experience was great, and the students learned a lot.
Industrial Visit to Iris Software Pvt Ltd ( 27th Feb 2020)
On 27th Feb, 2020, Department of Computer Science & Engineering organized an Industrial visit to Iris Software Pvt Ltd for CSE II year students.
IRIS Software Pvt Ltd is a company which provides industry leading business critical software solutions and services to manage core business operations. This company was started 45 years ago with accountancy software and have evolved to be relied on by more than 100,000 customers across 135 countries in accountancy, education and business. t is classified as Non-govt company and is registered at Registrar of Companies, Delhi.
After a motivating and encouraging interaction with the manager, the students also got an opportunity to see the work of the company in different departments. They interacted with the company officials regarding the various projects and programs. The event provided great practical learning and exposure to the students.
Industrial Visit to Sunstar Overseas Ltd (20th Feb 2020)
Students of second year CSE dept visited SUNSTAR OVERSEAS LIMITED, MURTHAL on 20.02.2020. Sunstar Overseas Limited is a Public incorporated on 06 January 1995. It is classified as Non-govt company and is registered at Registrar of Companies, Delhi. The objective behind this industrial visit is to provide the live industry exposure to students.
The students had a plant tour in control and automated production unit and learnt about plant instruments, measurements and electrical power generating out of waste. Overall, a good learning and practical experience for the student.
Industrial Visit to Calcom Vision Ltd ( 19th Feb 2020)
An industrial visit to Calcom Vision Ltd.was scheduled by Department of Computer Science and Engineering for the 3rd and final year students. The objective of this program is to give corporate exposure to the students and hone their managerial, organizational and leadership skills.
Students first met Manager, Calcom Vision Ltd. After a very motivating and encouraging interaction with the manager, the students also got an opportunity to see the work stations and production department, and interacted with the company officials regarding the various projects and programs. The event provided great learning and exposure to the students.
Industrial Visit to Cyber Group (6th Feb 2020)
An industrial visit to Cyber Group was scheduled for CSE 3rd year students by the department of Computer science and Engineering. The objective of this program is to give corporate exposure to the students and hone their managerial, organizational and leadership skills. The institute alumni students, Mayank and Aashta’ helped in organizing the entire event and meeting with the company HR. Students first met Mr. Neeraj Shridhar, HR Cyber Group. After a very motivating and encouraging interaction with the HR, the students also got an opportunity to see the work stations, and interacted with the company officials regarding the various projects and programs. The students also spent quality time with the institute alumni in the company canteen and clicked pictures with them. The event provided great learning and exposure to the students.
Industrial Visit to Huawei Telecommunication, Gurugram (4th Sept 2018)
On 4th September, 2018 Department of Computer Science & Engineering organized an Industrial visit to Huawei Telecommunication, Gurugram for CSE II year students under the supervision of Ms. Megha Kumar (Assistant Professor CSE).
Huawei Technologies is a leading ICT Company with an annual turnover of USD 65 Billion. Huawei is manufacturer of all telecom equipments in domain of 2G, 3G, LTE, Datacomm equipment, Mobile, dongles, Transmission equipment etc. Huawei customers include leading operators like Bharti, Vodafone, Reliance, Tata, Uninor, Idea, BSNL, MTNL etc.
Huawei is also very active in enterprise domain. Huawei has more than 125,000 employees globally and has presence in more than 150 countries. Huawei has over 70,000 product and solution R&D employees, comprising more than 45% of our total workforce worldwide. Huawei has multiple offices in India including Sales & Support, R&D, GNOC etc. R&D center & GNOC support customers all over the globe. They have set up 16 R&D centers in countries that include Germany, Sweden, the US, France, Italy, Russia, India, and China.
In this industrial visit, students visited and learned about labs on 4G architecture, cloud computing, MSC and VLR. Overall it was a good learning experience for all and it will help the students in bridging the industry-institute gap.
Industrial Visit to AllSoft ( 2nd Feb 2019)
An Industrial visit to Allsoft solutions & Services Pvt. Ltd. (A Business Partner of IBM)
was planned by Department of Computer Science and Engineering on 2 Feb 2019
After a initiation and approval from Allsoft Solutions & Services Pvt. Ltd., B. Tech. (CSE) 3rd year students went on an industrial visit in the above company. We all gathered at the college at 9:30 A.M. and left the college by college bus and reached at 10:00 AM.
AllSoft is a Software Development & Corporate Training company in IT sector. Mrs. Shefaly Dutta (Operation Manager) started the first session by a brief introduction about company. The schedule in attached for more details. She shared her experience of IT sector with us and guide for the other trends. They provide us snacks in the lunch time.
Mr. Amit Gupta (founder and senior trainer of Interview Gyan) started the second session by giving us the tips of cracking an interview that contains interview skills and few important key points to improve the professional personality with much more. He guides us about the followings:
- How to make an impressive resume/c.v.?
2. Things to be added or eliminated in one’s resume.
3. Dos & Don’ts in an interview.
4. How to project oneself before the interviewer?
5. Discussion on frequently asked questions in the interview.
Mr. Amit Gupta gives us the booklet of frequently asked questions in interviews also. In last session, Mr. Mayank Gupta (Event Manager) takes the feedback and select three students for the scholarship. The visit came to the end at 3:30 P.M.
This industrial visit was informative, interesting and successful that added a lot of corporate and interview knowledge for our students.
