The college has shown an exceptional commitment towards the National Voters Day programme by closely collaborating with the National Service Scheme (NSS). The programme was organised on the call of the National Election Commission and GGSIPU to spread awareness and motivate the youth to vote in the upcoming elections for the strengthening of democracy with their Right to Vote. The event was attended by faculty, staff and students of DTC with a total gathering of approx. 100 people.
The programme included a Pledge ceremony by the participants. The pledge was conducted by Dr. Piyush Yadav Dean of Planning of DTC

WORKSHOP – MENTAL HEALTH & WELLBEING
FIT INDIA WEEK “HAR GHAR DHYAN”

As per requirements of NSS Cell and NSS calendar, an interactive session on Mental Health & Wellbeing was planned on 22/11/23. The session was conducted by professionals from Art of Living (AOL) namely, Mr. Kapil Arya and Ms. Smriti Shrivastav. AOL has signed an MOU with the University of Delhi under the Government initiative – “Har Ghar Dhyan” and abiding by the guidelines of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The session aimed to sensitize the students about fitness /health, mental health, psycho-social well-being, and associated skills and capacities through various programs of The Art of Living, as well as provide opportunities to faculty members to participate.
As you all are aware FIT INDIA MOVEMENT was launched in 2019 by our Honrble Prime Minister. In this regard, the workshop was held to extend the success of the program that has been rechristened as FIT INDIA WEEK.
Meditation is a practice of mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state. To facilitate this, Mr. Kapil Arya and Ms. Smriti Shrivastav conducted the workshop and taught the students various techniques to calm their minds and excel in different areas.

CLEANLINESS SWATCH BHARAT ABHIYAN “EK TARIK EK GHANTA”
(SWACHHATA HI SEWA HAI CAMPAIGN)

The college has shown an exceptional commitment towards the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan program by closely collaborating with the National Service Scheme (NSS). This partnership has enabled a well-coordinated campaign to promote cleanliness, hygiene and environmental awareness on campus and in surrounding communities. With joint efforts in organizing clean-up drives and awareness sessions, the college and NSS have been vital catalysts for change towards a cleaner India. This initiative showcases the institution’s dedication to cultivating civic-minded citizens and nurturing a spirit of service among students.
The learning outcomes achieved include:

The drive began with DTC, SOA HOD ma’am, Ar. Tanya Gupta, students, and faculty assembling near Noida Sec 18 metro station. They were met by the local authorities who welcomed them and greeted everyone warmly.
Tasks were dutifully assigned to respectively core team members, each team members were lead by faculty in-charges, who were present during whole expenditure. Students from different branches were gathered together and formed numerous groups, interacting with each other and knowing each other.
There was a spirit of fun, enthusiasm and empathy amongst the students while conducting the entire drive. The volunteers from Robinhood Army thanked DTC staff and students for this successful event and hoped for another such collaboration in the near future.

Students and Faculties walked around in groups, whilst some brushed the roads, whilst the others collected garbage which was thrown in between. Looking at the ongoing work, onlookers, i.e.…, the General Public started helping out and extended their hands for the drive.
Small street vendors collected their garbage disposals and separated them based on recyclable materials and other held garbage bags, while several other people put their collected trash in them.

The NSS cell, Delhi Technical Campus in collaboration with Udyaan Care, Greater Noida organized an interactive session on 18 April, 2023. The resource person for the session was Mr. Deepak Sharma.
Mr. Deepak Sharma from Udyaan Care, Greater Noida, graciously accepted an invitation to participate in a formal session with students and faculty members. The primary aim of the visit was to raise awareness about the diverse volunteer programs offered by Udayan Care and to explore potential collaboration opportunities.
An informative presentation was delivered, followed by an engaging interactive session where students had the opportunity to pose questions and clarify their doubts. The session was particularly fruitful, with a focus on volunteering and social responsibility. Several students and faculty members expressed their eagerness to collaborate with Udayan Care and make a meaningful contribution toward a noble cause. Overall, it was an enriching experience.
50 students and 4 faculty members from Delhi Technical Campus participated in the session.

National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell, DTC organized a food donation drive with the help of our extremely kind students. The idea was to build empathy towards community service. The drive was held Outside All India Institute of Medical Science, New Delhi held on 11th January, 2023

The winter clothes donation drive was organized to help the needy in the winter season. Some students and faculty members from Delhi Technical Campus went to different slum areas in Greater Noida and donated clothes.
There were boxes present in each block of the college to collect the donations. It was good to see that many students actively and willingly took part in the drive by donating and going into the slum areas to donate.
Being a volunteer, it helped everyone to get connected with the needy people and their sufferings. It has also inspired everyone to help more and more to the needy people. The learning outcomes achieved include:

National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell, DTC collaborated with ‘ Sunrise Learning Foundation, NGO (Centre for Differently abled children) for ‘8th ANNUAL SPECIAL SPORTS MEET 2022 (For specially-abled children and adults‘ on occasion of ‘International Autism Day’ organised on 10th Dec 2022 was organised at Sarvottam International School, Greater Noida West
Many schools of differently abled people of NCR region actively participated in the sports meet.
Students from Delhi Technical Campus actively participated in this meet as volunteers in collaboration with Sunrise Learning Foundation. Being a volunteer gives these young people an experience of a lifetime, of working with differently-abled persons.
National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell, DTC conducted ‘Awareness Session on Health & Hygiene‘ in 2 villages under ‘Village Adoption Scheme’ focusing on ‘Sustainable Development Goal – Good Health and well-being‘ on 5th & 7th Dec 2022 at village Badpura and Chaughanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The residents of the village attended the session along with village Pradhan and other officials.
The villagers were made aware of the importance of nutritious food in their daily life. In addition to this, they were also educated about basic hygiene required for a healthy lifestyle

National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell, DTC organized an ‘Awareness Drive’ on occasion of World’s AIDS Day celebrated on 1st Dec 2022.
“End inequalities,End AIDS”. With a special focus on reaching people left behind, WHO and its partners are highlighting the growing inequalities in access to essential HIV services.
The aim was to build empathy towards such people. The students wore the red ribbon (universal symbol of awareness and support for people living with HIV). Also a march is conducted to spread awareness for the same outside the campus.
Community Connect & NSS Cell, DTC organized a Plantation Drive from 26th-28th September 2022 on the occasion of World Environmental Health Day. World Environmental Health Day is celebrated on September 26th, every year. The goal of the day is to increase public awareness of the environment’s condition and encourage people to take the required steps. Day 1 got student entries for the planter decoration competition, Day 2 witnessed plant donations from the students, while the plantation drive took place on the Day 3.
