- Drone Expo 2024: We actively participated in the Drone Expo, where we learned about the limitations in India’s current drone manufacturing capabilities, with many components imported from countries like China. Recognizing this gap, our club has identified potential projects to focus on indigenous drone component manufacturing, aligning with our mission for self-reliance.
- Indus Visionary Event: Organized under the theme “Forge the Future,” this event was an entrepreneurial workshop combined with a competitive quiz, aimed at fostering critical thinking. Students were challenged to solve business cases and real-world scenarios, helping them develop problem-solving skills and preparing them to lead impactful ventures.
- Hackathon Participation: Collaborated on innovative projects exploring satellite navigation, GNSS technology, and app-based solutions. The hackathons provided a platform for students to work on cutting-edge ideas and receive feedback from experts.
- Indian & Israeli Defense Conference: Roy Ionas, Founder and CEO of LeadSpotting, discussed defense innovations and collaborations between Indian and Israeli companies. He emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships in advancing defense technologies and fostering innovation. The webinar highlighted opportunities for joint ventures, knowledge exchange, and leveraging each country’s strengths to enhance defense capabilities.

I.N.D.U.S Rise Club: Innovation for India’s Self-Reliance
NOTE:
While India has taken strides with the Make in India initiative, it often invites foreign companies to set up manufacturing units rather than fostering homegrown industries and technologies. The true vision should be Made by India
Our club, I.N.D.U.S Rise, is committed to shifting the focus from Make in India to Made by India, emphasizing indigenous innovation and self-reliant solutions. Through nurturing talent and addressing national challenges, we aim to transform India into a hub where products are not just assembled but ideated, designed, and manufactured entirely by Indian hands and minds.
